🔊 No Sound (iPhone & iPad Fix Guide)

✅ What this fixes

• You press keys, but hear no sound
• Notes light up, but audio is silent
• Sound is coming from the wrong device
• Sound cuts in and out

🚨 Start Here (Important)

Press a key.

👉 Do notes light up in Piano Marvel?

• NO → This is NOT a sound issue
  → Go to: Keyboard Not Detected (iPhone & iPad Fix Guide)
• YES → Continue below

🔍 Step 1 — Check Volume and Silent Mode

• Turn up your device volume
• Make sure your device is not muted
• If using an iPhone with a silent switch → turn silent mode OFF
  
• Turn up the volume in Piano Marvel's Mixer (Lower right corner of any lesson)

⚠️ Common mistake:

• Volume is up, but device is still muted

👉 Test again.

• Working? → Done
• Still no sound? → Continue

🎧 Step 2 — Check Where Audio Is Going

iOS may be sending sound somewhere else.

Open Control Center:

• Swipe down from top-right (or up from bottom on older devices)

Check audio output:

• Tap the audio panel
• See where sound is routed

👉 Make sure it’s going to:

• iPhone/iPad speakers
• OR your intended headphones

⚠️ Common issues:

• Connected to Bluetooth headphones you’re not using
• Output stuck on AirPlay / external device

👉 Test again.

• Working? → Done
• Still no sound? → Continue

📶 Step 3 — Bluetooth Issues

Bluetooth is a frequent cause of silent or delayed audio.

Try this:

• Turn Bluetooth OFF
• Test using device speakers

If using Bluetooth intentionally:

• Disconnect and reconnect
• Ensure device is selected as audio output

⚠️ Common issues:

• Connected but not active
• Audio routed incorrectly
• Delay (latency) causing confusion

👉 Test again.

🔄 Step 4 — Restart the App

• Close Piano Marvel completely
• Reopen the app

👉 Test again.

🔄 Step 5 — Restart Your Device

• Power off your iPhone/iPad
• Turn it back on
• Open Piano Marvel

👉 Test again

🎹 Step 6 — Check Piano Marvel Sound Settings

If using a MIDI keyboard:

• Make sure Piano Marvel’s virtual piano sound is enabled
• Some MIDI keyboards do NOT produce sound on their own

⚠️ Common issue:

• User expects keyboard to make sound, but app sound is disabled

👉 Test again.

🧪 Step 7 — Test Other Audio

Play something else:

• YouTube video
• Music app

Results:

• No sound anywhere → Device audio issue
• Sound works elsewhere but not in Piano Marvel → Continue

🔌 Step 8 — Check External Devices

If using:

• Audio interface
• Wired headphones
• Adapters

Try:

• Disconnect everything
• Test using device speakers

⚠️ Common issue:

• Faulty adapter or cable

👉 Test again

🧩 Edge Cases

Bluetooth speakers/headphones

• May introduce delay or dropouts
  → Use wired audio if possible

External keyboards

• Some do not produce sound unless configured properly

App audio conflicts

• Close other apps using audio
