👨‍🏫 Teacher & Student Linking (How It Works)

• Connects a student account to a teacher
• Allows teachers to view student progress
• Enables teacher-guided learning

🚨 Important (Read First)

👉 There are no separate “teacher accounts”

• Every user has a normal account
• The teacher/student link defines the relationship
  

⚠️ Key Rules

• Students must link themselves to a teacher
• Teachers cannot add students directly
• This is required for security and privacy

🎓 How Students Link to a Teacher

You can link your account in two ways:

Option 1 — During Account Creation

When signing up:

• Select “Learning With a Teacher”
• Enter your teacher’s email, username, or referral code

👉 Your account will be linked automatically

Option 2 — After Account Creation

If you already have an account:

• Click your name (top corner)
• Go to My Teacher
• Enter your teacher’s email, username, or referral code
• Save by clicking the green checkmark

👉 Your account will now be linked

🔍 How to Confirm It Worked

• Your teacher can now see your progress
• Your account is associated with their studio
  
• Your teacher will appear under Teacher & Class in the My Account page

💳 Teacher Promo Codes (Monthly Discount)

Some teachers provide a promo code.

What it does

• Reduces Monthly subscription cost
• Example: $17.99 → $14.99/month

How to use it

• Enter the code in the Promo Code box when setting up your Monthly subscription

⚠️ Important:

• Applies to Monthly plans only
  
• Cannot be applied to subscription codes
• Must be entered at the time of subscription

⚠️ Common Issues

❌ “My teacher can’t see my account”

• You are not linked
• Or entered the wrong email

👉 Fix:

• Re-enter the correct teacher email

❌ “My teacher tried to add me”

• Teachers cannot add students directly

👉 Fix:

• Student must link their own account

❌ “I linked the wrong teacher”

👉 Fix:

• Update the teacher email in My Account

❌ “Promo code didn’t apply”

• Not entered during subscription
• Not a Monthly plan

👉 Do this:

1. Create your account
2. Link to your teacher
3. Confirm it worked
4. Then set up your subscription (if needed)
