🚀 Getting Started with Piano Marvel (5–10 Minute Setup)

• Confirms everything is working
• Starts your first lesson

🎯 Step 1 — Log In

• Go to Piano Marvel
• Log into your account

👉 If you don’t have one, create it first

🎹 Step 2 — Connect Your Keyboard

If using USB to HOST/PC (most common)

• Use a Type B USB cable to plug into your keyboard
• Plug the other end of the cable into your computer/tablet/phone
  
• Turn the keyboard on

If using MIDI interface

• Connect the MIDI OUT port on your keyboard →  MIDI IN on your interface cable
• Connect the other end of your interface cable → your computer/tablet/phone

⚙️ Step 3 — Select Your Instrument

• Open Piano Marvel
• Click/tap your name, go to Instrument Settings
• Select your keyboard from the list

✅ Step 4 — Confirm It Works (IMPORTANT)

Press a few keys.

👉 You should see the icon flicker

❌ If nothing happens:

• Try refreshing the browser if on web app, close and reopen if on tablet/phone
• Re-select your device
• Unplug/replug USB or MIDI cable

🔊 Step 5 — Check Sound

• Go to the Lessons or Library and select a song
  
• Press the Play button
  

👉 You should hear a countdown followed by the accompaniment

❌ If no sound:

• Check volume on your computer/device
• Check Piano Marvel mixer (Lower right corner in a piece of sheet music)

🎼 Step 6 — Start Your First Lesson

• Click Method
• Start at Level 1
• Open the first lesson

🧠 Step 7 — Use Practice Mode First

• Play slowly
• Fix mistakes as you go

👉 This is where you actually learn the piece

🎯 Step 8 — Then Use Play Mode

• Play the full piece with the rhythm
• Get your score

Once you complete your first lesson:

• Continue through Method (main path)
• Use Technique for skill drills
• Use SASR for sight-reading
• Use Library for specific boot camps and fun songs
